Guide
Tile Layout Planner guide
Compare two symmetric starting phases on one finished layout axis.
Measuring assumptions
Enter the clear span, finished tile size, grout joint, perimeter gap, and minimum acceptable edge cut in one unit.
How the calculation works
The planner subtracts both perimeter gaps, then evaluates tile-centred and grout-joint-centred phases across the usable span. It reports equal opposing cuts, full tiles, joints, and threshold warnings.
Worked example
Load the built-in example, compare both phases, then replace every value with verified site measurements.
Limitations
Walls, tiles, movement joints, openings, slopes, trim, and tolerances vary. Confirm the proposed set-out, manufacturer requirements, and field dimensions before cutting or installation.
