Feasible quantity comparison
| Supplier | Order qty | EOQ | Unit price ($) | Orders/year | Months supply | Purchase/year | Ordering/year | Holding/year | Annual total | Constraint premium |
|---|
How the core works
EOQ = √((2 × annual demand × order cost) ÷ (unit price × annual holding rate))
The core feasible quantity is the smallest full case-pack multiple at or above both EOQ and MOQ. Tier analysis also tests each eligible packed price-break threshold and recommends the lowest modeled annual total.
What is not modeled
Safety stock, lead time, stockouts, spoilage, taxes, variable freight, financing outside the entered holding rate, capacity constraints, and demand variability are excluded. Demand variability and real-world purchasing constraints must be reviewed separately.
Planning boundary: These outputs depend entirely on your assumptions. They do not forecast demand or authorize a purchase. Review supplier terms and business context before acting.
Scenario planning aid only. Use one consistent currency throughout your inputs and verify supplier terms before ordering.
